Henry McKeown was born in Belfast and studied architecture at Plymouth School of Architecture then at the Mackintosh School of Architecture.
Henry McKeown is a design director with jmarchitects (Glasgow studio). He has practiced architecture for over30 years and throughout his career his work has been published widely. His work has also been acknowledged in the form of numerous awards including a number of RIBA awards. He has lectured in Turin, Copenhagen, Aberdeen, Belfast and Glasgow.
Henry is also a studio teacher at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (Glasgow) where he works with final year thesis students, studying architecture in major selected European cities, Henry has also collaborated with Steven Holl Architects (New York) delivering the Reid Building at the Glasgow School of Art, and the new Maggies Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London.
