Marks Barfield Architects
I studied architecture at the Architectural Association and Oxford Brookes University, and have worked for Ian Simpson Architects, Squire and Partners and Studio E Architects.
At Marks Barfield Architects, I have been given the opportunity to develop an interest in education in particular, and am driven by the difference the design of one’s environment can make on people’s lives.
More recently I have also been working on a number of commercial projects, and a sensitive residential scheme in a Conservation Area in Clapham. One of my key aims is to always ensure that public realm, wellbeing and shared spaces are all considered from the outset. I am particularly interested in wellbeing and the impact well designed spaces, whether it be a school, university or office, can have on our health and productivity.
I am also a member of the D:SE review panel.
