Architect - Director,
Jude is an architect-director at Collective Architecture. The 40-strong, employee-owned and controlled studio has offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Collective Architecture specialises in housing and civic buildings and has successfully delivered a wide range of projects including Glasgow Women’s Library in Bridgeton, Paisley’s Secret Collection, Calton Hill City Observatory in Edinburgh, Barmulloch Residents’ Centre and Cumbernauld Community Enterprise Centre.
Jude is an external examiner at the Department of Architecture at The University of Sheffield, a Board Member of the Glasgow Women’s Library and was Convenor of the Saltire Society Housing Design Awards between 2000-2016. She previously worked with Malcolm Fraser Architects and Reiach and Hall Architects in Edinburgh.
In parallel with her studio practice, Jude has undertaken a number of collaborations with campaigners, artists and writers. She was co-director of the award-winning Empire Café with writer Louise Welsh during the 2014 Commonwealth Games, exhibited ‘The Better Days’ solo exhibition at the Briggait Gallery Spaces, Glasgow during the 2016 Architecture Fringe and co-creates the on-going ‘Voices of Experience’ project with Suzanne Ewing and Nicola MacLachlan.
