Katharine Heron is Emeritus Professor of Architecture at the University of Westminster. Head of the Department of Architecture from 1997 to 2014, she was actively engaged in initiatives to change architectural education. She has been a champion of practice based research and a partner in the EU funded ADAPTr. She is Director of Ambika P3 within the University, founded in 2007 as a multi-purpose event and exhibition space. Her background is in practice as Feary + Heron Architects and early work included Stonypath for Ian Hamilton Finlay, the Pier Arts Centre in Orkney and the Mudchute Park and Farm on the Isle of Dogs, Eagles Nest, Zennor, as well as numbers of exhbition designs. She was awarded MBE in 2015.
