Fiona Welch is an Architect at Collective Architecture, a 45 strong employee owned and controlled studio with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. She trained at the Bartlett and the Mackintosh School of Architecture and previously worked with Foster + Partners in Edinburgh and London.
Collective Architecture specialises in housing and civic buildings and was named ‘Architect of the Year’ at the 2018 AJ Architecture Awards. Since joining the practice in 2007, Fiona has delivered several large-scale housing developments and mixed-use projects, most recently the Muirfield Community Enterprise Centre for North Lanarkshire Council, comprising offices, a nursery, community spaces and a cafe, set in a new parkland to strengthen pedestrian routes to the town centre.
She is currently leading the design and delivery of an Intermediate Care Facility in Bonnyrigg and a large-scale mixed tenure housing project in North Glasgow.
