Grimshaw , Principle
Angela is a Principal in Grimshaw's London studio, leading Hotel and Commercial strategy and projects - combining placemaking, transportation connections, health and wellbeing, and sustainability, to create aspirational and transformative spaces.
Prior to Grimshaw, Angela was a Partner at Denton Corker Marshall (DCM) Architects in London. Notably, she led the widely lauded Stonehenge Visitor Centre for DCM from design to completion, winning several awards including finalist for the AJ's Emerging Woman Architect of the Year.
In addition to her architectural work, Angela is a keen advocate for diversity. She Chairs Grimshaw's Umbrella Diversity Group, leading diversity initiatives across the office, is a (newly elected) RIBA London Councillor, an advisor to the RIBA Architects for Change, and contributor to the Mayor of London’s diversity panel, Good Growth by Design. Angela is also a RIBA Part 3 examiner at London Metropolitan University and the Bartlett School of Architecture; an occasional lecturer, mentor, public speaker, Ambassador for the Architect's Benevolent Society; a WAN Awards jury member; a Non-Exec Director for Studio BAD; and a member of the UK Construction Week Advisory Panel.
