The AJ100 2021 Survey is now closed

In 2020, the profession faced unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19. This year’s AJ100 will celebrate the resilience and achievements of the UK’s largest architectural practices in these most difficult times. As well as looking at how practices have responded to the pandemic, the AJ100 will also continue to focus on the climate emergency.

Now in its 26th year, the AJ100 is a firm fixture in the architecture calendar and serves as a definitive record of the UK’s largest architecture practices. The top 100 practices, measured by number of architects employed in the UK, are invited to join us for the annual awards, when the winners of the dedicated AJ100 award categories are revealed.

Practices that are ranked in the top 100 will also be published in the special AJ100 issue and invited to attend our AJ100 Club events over the course of 2021/2022.

AJ100 Festival 2020

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, 2020 saw the AJ100 go virtual for the first time in September 2020!

The AJ100 Festival was free-to-attend and offered a week-long programme of celebration and learning centred around the year’s AJ100 practices, our 2020 award winners and inspirational speakers pioneering new ways of practice.

The AJ100 was transformed in response to the climate emergency. The daily festival programme featured AJ100 awards announcements, case studies, interviews, panel talks and virtual fringe events all focused on cutting-edge sustainability. The AJ100 Festival was the chance to not only join us in celebrating this year’s winners, but also to gain valuable insights as we shone a spotlight on the practices and individuals pushing for meaningful social and environmental change in a challenging time.
