Thank you to everyone who attended the A100 Festival!
14 - 18 September 2020
Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2020, the AJ100 is a firm fixture in the architecture calendar. The AJ100 survey is the definitive record of the UK’s largest architecture practices and recognises and rewards achievements made by these firms each year.
The AJ100 practices, measured by the number of architects employed in the UK, would usually be invited to attend the annual dinner where the winners of the dedicated AJ100 award categories would be revealed.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19, we were unable to host our usual awards night at the Tower of London, so instead we invited everyone to join us as the AJ100 went virtual for the first time!
The AJ100 Festival was free-to-attend and offered a week-long programme of celebration and learning centred around this year’s AJ100 practices, our 2020 award winners and inspirational speakers pioneering new ways of practice.
The AJ100 has been transformed this year in response to the climate emergency. The daily festival programme featured AJ100 awards announcements, case studies, interviews, panel talks and virtual fringe events all focused on cutting-edge sustainability. The AJ100 Festival was the chance to not only join us in celebrating this year’s winners, but also to gain valuable insights as we shone a spotlight on the practices and individuals pushing for meaningful social and environmental change in a challenging time.
Thank you to all of our speakers, sponsors and attendees of the festival!
