Steve McCloy is the co-founder of McCloy + Muchemwa, an associate at Hugh Broughton Architects, and a published author on sustainability and urbanism. As a practicing architect he has worked on every continent; designing for homes, civic buildings, public space interventions, green masterplans, and Antarctic research stations. McCloy + Muchemwa works both independently and as part of larger collaborative teams including as a finalist in the Barbican renewal project with Diller Scofidio & Renfro and Purcell, and the second phase of the Tustin Estate regeneration project with dRMM. Steve and creative partner Bongani Muchemwa were included in the AJ 40 Under 40 in 2020, and their self-built project 'The Orangery' was a finalist in the AJ Small Projects Awards 2022.
