Ramsey Yassa, is an architect from North London. He was born to Egyptian parents after they emigrated to the UK in the 1970s. His mother is an author of children’s books and his father is a restaurateur. Ramsey’s unique upbringing in inner city London is reflected in his exploration of play and narrative through design.
Ramsey founded NOOMA Studio in 2019, an interdisciplinary design studio founded on the principles of collectivity and human-centred design. NOOMA studio has featured in the RIBA J’s Rising Stars for ‘Innovation in Collaborative Practice’ and The Architects’ Journal’s list of 40 Under 40 as ‘one of architectures brightest up and coming talents’.
