AJ100 Awards 2024

Established in 1995, the AJ100 survey is the definitive annual record of the UK’s largest architecture practices measured by the number of architects employed in the UK.

The accompanying AJ100 awards programme celebrated the achievements of these firms, including those that led the way on climate action. This year, the categories were revised with the addition of five new awards, reflecting a greater emphasis on rewarding practices and individuals who drove positive change in the profession.

These included the AJ100 Champions, a new cohort of practices that led the way either through their own projects and ways of working or through their work within the wider profession and beyond. The AJ100 New Talent Award rewarded exemplary architectural assistants and recently qualified architects. The other new categories were AJ100 Communication Initiative of the Year, AJ100 Change-maker of the Year, and AJ100 Mentor of the Year.

AJ100 practices were invited to attend the AJ100 gala lunch on 21 June, where the winners of the AJ100 awards were revealed. That year, the celebratory event took place at City Central at the HAC, London, EC1Y 4TW.

That year, things were done differently. The event took place on a Friday lunchtime and afternoon, giving ample opportunities for networking and serving as an ideal way to commence the weekend.
