Eddie Blake Biography

Eddie Blake is an architect and academic. He is co-director at Studio Weave and teaches architecture at the London School of Architecture. His work in practice focuses on cultural/civic buildings and the public realm. He has taught both architectural design and theory at the Royal College of Art, Bartlett (UCL) and the Architectural Association.

Most recently he has worked on new entrances at the British Museum, a revitalization of Vestry House Museum and several public toilets around London.

Eddie Blake writes widely about architecture for the Guardian, Architectural Review, Icon, Metropolis, Tribune, and Real Review among other publications. Through the twin activities of architectural analysis and proposition Blake pursues a continuing interest in the way architecture embodies social and cultural ideas.
